CRAINS: People on the Move

Dr. Richard A. Berger, Associate Professor at Rush University Medical Center, received the Western Society of Engineers’ prestigious Washington Award for engineering accomplishments that advance the welfare of humankind. An MIT graduate in engineering, Dr. Berger pioneered a minimally invasive joint replacement procedure– performed without cutting any tissue. Patients report faster recovery and less pain than patients undergoing traditional hip and knee replacements.
