In 2015 avid skier, Cheryl Jensen was not performing at her maximum. She enlisted the help of Dr. Richard Berger to complete a right knee replacement. Within two months and two days after surgery, Jensen skied “The Slot,” a black diamond run in Vail’s back bowls. To get back to all activities, it was around six months and at seven months, she finished a 120-mile mountain bike ride.
During the recent stay-in-place restrictions due to Covid-19, Cheryl has been keeping herself sane by staying in tune with nature.
“At 59 years old, I am still heli-skiing and skiing double black diamonds. I feel fortunate to get back to all my activities, including hiking every day, golf, snowshoeing, Nordic skiing and backcountry skiing, and cycling. I guess you could say I have Aging Athletes Syndrome. My experience with Dr. Berger was and still is proving to be incredible.” Jensen stated.
